Can you Balance ?
The Importance of Balance
After having three children in four years, I noticed a change. Obviously my body had changed, but what surprised me most was my balance… or rather, my lack of it.
When I decided it was time to get myself back into shape, I thought I’d start with the basics. Something simple, like balance. But I quickly realised it wasn’t as easy as I expected. I actually found it difficult to stand on one leg!
Balancing on one leg has so many benefits. It helps strengthen your core, improves stability and coordination, supports joint health, challenges your brain, and is even considered a useful indicator of healthy ageing and longevity.
So here’s a little challenge for you: take a minute each day to practise balancing on one leg. It’s simple, effective, and easy to fit into your routine.
Try it while you’re waiting for the kettle to boil, brushing your teeth, or cooking dinner. Those small moments soon add up, and your body will thank you for it.
